Help needed! WordPress has perplexed me

While looking at my blog stat reports, the number of followers differs from the amount shown on my blog website (Join *** other followers).

Now, we’re not just talking a few, there’s a difference of almost 150 followers. 150 MORE reported on on my blog webpage compared to the number reported on my stats page.

I Know that some followers signed up by email, rather than click following, but I’m not sure if this affects the stats ability to report.
Can anybody who has ever come across this on WordPress please shine some light?
Thank you in advance,

  1. Dont worry about it, it’s usually due to Facebook and Twitter (as well as e-mail) followers being counted in that too πŸ™‚ Here, have another follow to add to the count πŸ˜‰ I’m a writer myself, and if you have the time I’d love for you to check out my small blog. Atm its mainly short stories and a bit of poetry, but I’m working on a novel (Prologue is on my blog). Feel free to check it out on , keep blogging and have a good day πŸ™‚

    • Thanks for the response. Ok, even if it is taking Facebook & Twitter into consideration, it’s still way out. It’s no big deal, but it’s just be good to have a true reflection of my following. I’ve followed back & look forward to reading your blog.

  2. When I connected my blog to my Tumblr page it then added my Tumblr followers to my following count on my site. I’m not sure if this is what you mean? This used to confuse me as well. If this has nothing to do with your problem then just ignore my comment lol But for me, it explained the difference in my WordPress followers from my stats page from my overall followers. Hope you figure it out! Have a nice day!
