Why do people like to be scared?

Al Graham

You have two kinds of people in the world when it comes to this subject. People whole love to be scared and people who hate to be scared. I believe its as black and white, as cut and dry and as wet as water as that.

Like myself, you also have people who go from hating being scared to enjoying being scared. Going from freaking out at the sheer sight of a scary or horror film and never clapping eyes on a Stephen King book, to the complete an utter opposite.

Thrill seekers is the general term given to describe people who enjoy deliberate scares. But, what actually drives people to seek out horror, gore and scares?

Are you a thrill seeker? Do you like a good old scare? Or, do you prefer the lights on and a disney movie or an Enid Blyton novel?
